You're not the only one! Beowulf is definitely on my list of holiday movies I'd like to see, and with the writers strike I will be having more time on my hands...
Now that we've seen the movies -- I realize I love this genre -- fantasmagorical, quasi-historical epics in the tradition of Mummy (oh, anuk sun a moon!), Conan the Barbarian and The Ten Commandments. I loved it.
